IoT SaaS — Lead Service

$50/month vs. a $10,000 spoilage event

A single overnight refrigerator failure can ruin thousands of dollars of vaccines — and most rural clinics don’t discover it until morning. MW AIRLIFT™’s monitoring catches it in real time and alerts your team within 15 minutes of a confirmed excursion, so the problem gets fixed before product is lost. It is the most affordable insurance a clinic can carry.

  • 60-day free pilot: we install everything — on day 60 you continue on a 12-month agreement, or we collect the equipment and you keep the compliance report
  • VFC compliance: auto-generated monthly reports pre-formatted for VFC and NC DHHS inspectors
  • Confirmed alerts: email within 15 minutes of a confirmed excursion — sub-minute sensor blips are filtered automatically, so every alert your staff receives is one that matters
  • Buffered probes: glass-bead buffers that track product temperature, not air
  • Cloud dashboard: real-time readings, trends and custom thresholds on our own platform
  • Multi-site: one dashboard for every location, unit, and report

The 60-day pilot — exactly what happens

  • Days 1–60, at no cost: certified data loggers installed by us in a single two-hour visit, no clinic IT involvement. Alerting is live from day one.
  • You receive: excursion alerts within 15 minutes of confirmation, with a named escalation chain, and a full monthly compliance report delivered before any decision is due.
  • On day 60 you choose: continue on a 12-month agreement, or we collect the equipment and you keep the compliance report we produced. No penalty, no auto-conversion, no cancellation fee.
  • Equipment: pilot loggers remain MW AIRLIFT™ property until you convert — that is why the pilot costs you nothing up front.
  • Already own compliant loggers? Tell us at the site survey. Where your existing devices are supported we run the service layer on them — no hardware purchase, and a reduced activation fee.
  • One pilot at a time: we run a single pilot installation concurrently so it gets full attention. If a slot is taken we will tell you the date it frees up when you enquire.

How this actually works

Everything below is what we would walk you through on a call. Read it first and the call gets shorter.

Installing it

Five steps, one visit. Your staff keeps working through it.

1 Site survey 20 minutes, no equipment We look at your storage units, your network, and any logger you already own. If your device is supported we run the service on it and you buy no hardware. 2 Install day One visit, about two hours We mount the certified logger and buffered probe, set your thresholds, and enter your alert contacts. Your IT team is not involved. 3 Monitoring goes live Same day Readings every five minutes, recorded continuously. Alerting is armed before we leave, and we run one test alert with your staff watching. 4 Your first report End of month one A compliance report arrives as a PDF by email. Nobody has to log in to anything to get it. 5 Day 60 — your decision No automatic conversion Continue on a 12-month agreement, or we collect the equipment and you keep the report. No penalty, no cancellation fee.

The moment it matters

A real excursion, told in clock time. This is the documented sample event from our compliance report.

in range 2–8 °C 10° 8.0 °C limit 2:22 PM breach 8.6 °C peak 34 min out of range 2:56 PM back in range 2:23 PM — alert delivered 84 seconds after breach · email alert 2:00 2:30 3:00

Manual twice-daily checks would have found this at the next check, hours later, with no record of how high it went or for how long. Sample event — fictitious data shown for illustration.

What we need from you

  • A power outlet near each storage unit
  • Wi-Fi access, or we supply a separate connection path
  • Two staff contacts for alerts, and who to escalate to
  • Make, model and calibration date of any logger you already run
  • About two hours of site access on install day

That is the whole list. No IT project, no server, no software for your staff to learn.

What stays your responsibility

  • Your CDC and state VFC program obligations remain yours — we document, we do not certify
  • Acting on an alert when it arrives
  • Final vaccine viability decisions, made with the manufacturer and your state immunization program

We are an independent monitoring provider. Being straight about this line is why our reports hold up when an auditor asks.

FAQs

Questions Clients Ask

What does my staff actually have to do?

Answer an alert. That is the whole job. There is no daily logging task, no dashboard anyone has to open (a live monitoring dashboard is included if you want it — nothing requires it), and no software for staff to learn. The monthly compliance report arrives as a PDF by email.

Do I need my IT department involved?

No. The loggers run on their own connectivity path by default, so nothing is added to your clinical network and no firewall change is requested. If your policy requires review, we will give your IT contact the device details in writing before install.

Does this touch patient data?

No. The equipment records temperature and device telemetry only — no patient information is collected, stored, or transmitted. A business associate agreement is not required for the service as described, and we will sign one on request if your policies call for it.

What happens if the power or internet goes out?

The logger keeps recording locally and backfills when the connection returns, so the compliance record has no gaps. We also monitor for silence — a logger that stops reporting raises its own alert, because a sensor that has gone quiet is exactly when you need to know.

We already have a data logger. Is this still useful?

Often yes, and you may not need to buy anything. VFC already requires a calibrated logger in each unit, so most clinics have hardware — what they usually lack is alerting that reaches a person, calibration tracking, and a report that is ready when an auditor asks. Where your existing device is supported we run our service on it at the service-only rate, and no new equipment is installed.

Who is responsible if vaccine is lost?

You are, and we are careful to say so. MW AIRLIFT™ is an independent monitoring provider — we document conditions and deliver alerts. Your CDC and state VFC obligations remain yours, and final viability decisions rest with you, the manufacturer, and your state immunization program. Our alerting depends on power, connectivity and carrier delivery, so we do not present it as a guarantee.

What does it cost after the pilot, and am I locked in?

With equipment supplied by us: $600/year per unit ($50/month) plus a one-time $349 installation and activation fee; multi-unit is $1,200/year covering two units, +$450/year each additional. On your own supported logger: $540/year per unit ($45/month) plus a $149 activation fee. Agreements run 12 months. The pilot itself converts to nothing automatically — if you do nothing at day 60, we collect the equipment and you owe us nothing.

What is cold-chain monitoring for a clinic or pharmacy?

Cold-chain monitoring places wireless temperature sensors in your vaccine and medication refrigerators and freezers. The system records temperatures continuously and sends an instant alert the moment a unit drifts out of the safe range — so a failure is caught and fixed before product is lost, not discovered the next morning.

What is included in the 60-day free pilot?

At no cost, MW AIRLIFT™ installs the sensors, configures a real-time dashboard for your facility, sets up 24/7 email alerts, and delivers one monthly excursion report formatted to support your VFC and NC DHHS documentation. If you don’t see the value by day 60, we remove the hardware — no obligation.

How fast does the temperature alert reach us?

Alerts are sent to your designated contacts within 15 minutes of a confirmed temperature excursion, by email, 24/7 — including overnight, weekends, and holidays. That window is the difference between catching a failing fridge and losing an inventory of vaccines.

Does the monthly report meet VFC and NC DHHS requirements?

Yes. The monthly report is pre-formatted to VFC and NC DHHS audit standards and includes continuous temperature logs, every alert with timestamp and resolution, calibration records, and a signed compliance attestation — usable directly in your audit with no reformatting.

How much does monitoring cost?

Standard monitoring is $50/month per unit ($600/year); multi-unit sites are $1,200/year for two units ($100/month), plus $450/year for each additional unit. A one-time $349 installation and activation fee applies to single-unit sites (12-month minimum, auto-renew); installation & activation is included for every unit on multi-unit sites — the $349 install fee is waived. The first 60 days are free. The dashboard is our own platform — your data never passes through a third-party service.
