Verified Chain of Custody

Every image we deliver can be proven unaltered by the person holding it — your adjuster, attorney, underwriter or auditor. Included with every mission, never an upsell.

Every image we deliver can be proven unaltered by the person holding it — your adjuster, your attorney, your underwriter, your auditor. They do not have to take our word for it, and they do not have to take yours.

A digital fingerprint (SHA-256) of every frame is computed on site at the moment of capture and locked into a sealed mission manifest. That manifest is published to a permanent public record, and a QR code on every page of your report points at it.

How it works

1 · Capture

The mission is flown under FAA Part 107 procedures and every frame is recorded.

2 · Seal

Each frame’s SHA-256 fingerprint is computed on site and locked into a sealed mission manifest.

3 · Publish

The manifest is published to mwairlift.com/verify — the permanent record for that mission.

4 · Verify

Scan the QR on the report, drop in the file, get a VERIFIED or NOT VERIFIED result instantly.

Who needs this

The verification is aimed at the file, never at you. It exists so a third party challenging the record has nothing to challenge.

Questions people actually ask

Is the record tamper-proof?

No, and we will not use that word. The record is tamper-evident: any edit, re-save or re-compression makes verification fail, so alteration becomes detectable to anyone who checks. Nothing is tamper-proof, and a vendor who tells you otherwise is selling you a feeling.

Who can verify a file — do they need an account?

Anyone, with no account and no software. Scan the QR printed on the report page, or enter the Mission ID at mwairlift.com/verify, drop in the file you were given, and you get a VERIFIED or NOT VERIFIED result in seconds.

Does this cost extra?

No. It is included with every mission, commercial and federal alike. It is not an upsell — it is how we work.

What happens if a file fails verification?

It tells you the file you are holding is not bit-for-bit what the drone captured. That usually means it was edited, re-compressed, or passed through a system that re-encoded it. We can re-issue the original from the sealed record.

Talk to the pilot, not a call centre

MW AIRLIFT is owner-operated. The person who answers is the person who flies the mission and signs the report.

Verified Chain of Custody — Tamper-Evident Aerial Evidence

Verified Chain of Custody is MW AIRLIFT’s evidence-integrity standard — part of the AIRWORKS platform, alongside Mission Control (live mission and pipeline command), Flight Deck (on-site mission execution), and Debrief (AI-drafted findings, reviewed and signed by a Part 107 pilot). One unified platform runs every mission we fly — commercial and federal alike, so the same standards and the same sealed chain of custody apply whether it’s a private storm-damage inspection or federal-ready logistics.

Every image MW AIRLIFT delivers is cryptographically sealed at the mission. A digital fingerprint (SHA-256SHA-256 is a standard cryptographic hash — it turns any file into a unique 64-character fingerprint. Change a single pixel and the fingerprint changes completely, so the image can’t be altered without breaking the seal.) of each frame is computed on site, locked into a published mission manifest, and anchored to a QR code printed on your report. Anyone holding the file — an adjuster, an attorney, an underwriter — can confirm in seconds that it is bit-for-bit identical to what the drone captured. Any edit, re-save, or re-compression fails verification by design.

  • Scan & verify: the QR on every report opens the mission's verification page with the record pre-loaded — no account, no software, no cost
  • Private by design: your files are checked locally in the browser and never uploaded; manifests contain hashes and mission facts only, never client-identifying details
  • Sealed at capture: frames are fingerprinted on site, minutes after the flight — a documented chain of custody from rooftop to report
  • Built for claims: gives adjusters and legal teams independent, technical assurance that storm-damage and inspection evidence is unaltered
